This PDP double bass drum pedal is single chain driven with rubber-tipped beaters. It has a solid build and the left pedal has a base plate. The base plate has Velcro on the bottom so when you place them it a carpet they don't move around as much while playing. This pedal also includes a drum key that can be stored on the left base plate. The hoop clamp works great, and this is an all around great choice of double bass drum pedal for the price point!
