This particular BA-108 has been play-tested and is working properly. As evidenced in the pictures, it does show surface corrosion/oxidation on the metal corner protectors of the cabinet as well as the control panel. The corrosion is cosmetic and does not affect the amp’s operation, but it is noticeable and should be considered when evaluating its overall cosmetic condition. Further, the tolex on the bottom of the amp is coming loose. This is also a cosmetic issue. Otherwise, this is a very useful, grab-and-go bass amp that puts Ampeg’s respected name and practical design within easy reach.
