Rogers Memoriloc Snare Drum Stand
Rogers Memoriloc Snare Drum Stand
Condition: Good
This Rogers Memriloc snare drum stand is a classic piece of vintage drum hardware from the era when Rogers was pushing some of the most innovative stand designs in the industry. Built heavy-duty with the famous Memriloc memory-lock system, it’s sturdy, dependable, and still impressively functional decades later.
Rogers hardware like this was used during the same era as drummers such as Buddy Rich, and Louie Bellson —players who valued reliable hardware that could handle serious touring and performance schedules.
Rogers Memriloc hardware was introduced in the mid-1970s, around 1976, and it was considered absolutely groundbreaking at the time. The idea behind Memriloc (“memory lock”) was simple but revolutionary: once you set the height or position of a stand, a locking collar kept it there permanently, so your setup could be rebuilt quickly and consistently night after night. That sounds normal now, but in the ‘70s it was a major innovation.
Before Memriloc, drummers often had to eyeball stand heights and cymbal positions every time they set up. Rogers turned hardware into something more precise and road-friendly, which touring drummers loved. The system appeared on cymbal stands, tom holders, bass drum mounts, and other hardware pieces, and many companies later adopted similar “memory lock” concepts.
Rogers hardware from that era also earned a reputation for being exceptionally heavy-duty and stable compared to a lot of competing hardware available at the time. The stands had thick chrome tubing, rugged fittings, and a very professional feel that appealed to serious players. Vintage Rogers Memriloc stands are still respected today because they’re durable, functional, and closely tied to the golden era of American drum manufacturing.
A number of major drummers used Rogers kits and hardware during the company’s peak years. (Again - Buddy Rich & Louie Bellson among others). Even players who didn’t exclusively use Rogers often borrowed ideas that Rogers pioneered in hardware design.
Own a great stand and piece of vintage history from one of the most pioneering brands in drums and drum hardware.
