This audio prcoessor can be used to dramatically improve the quality of reproduced sound in semiprofessional/consumer audio equipment. The BBE Model 402 was designed to help solve clarity issues caused by the interaction between amplifiers and speakers and combat 'muddy' output. To help counter the negative effects of the speaker/amplifier interface, the BBE Maxie Sonic Maximizer 402 'preconditions' the signal going to the amplifier. A phase shift is applied to the audio with variable frequency and harmonic compensation settings.

This rack mountable device is compatible with a standard 19" wide rack and occupies a single vertical space, 1-3/4".
