Store Policies

  1. Refunds will only be given within 14 days of original purchase and in the form of original payment type. Returned items must be in new condition (no signs of wear such as scratches, scuffs, tears, bends, breaks, dings, dents, cracks, warpage, cuts, writing, stickers, or otherwise not functioning as new) with all original packaging, paperwork, and original receipt to receive a refund. Music lesson payments, rental payments, repair payments, special order items, layaway payments, posters, charts, sheet music, books, notebooks, flash cards, cds, dvds, cdroms, tapes, software, other media, recording devices, memory storage devices, reeds, drum sticks, drum heads, mouthpieces, open packages of strings, ligatures, reed holders, microphones, wind screens, harmonicas, recorders, jaw harps, penny whistles, slide whistles, fifes, kazoos, nose flutes or any item that has an intended use of being placed near or in the mouth may not be returned. Defective items will be replaced with the identical item. Chromatic, tremolo, octave and orchestral Hohner harmonica models must be returned directly to the manufacturer. Excessive returns will be refused. Mountain Music may take thirty days to issue refunds in excess of $500 or of payments originally paid by check.
  2. Used items are sold “as is”.
  3. Special orders require full payment in advance. Special order items not picked up within 30 days of arrival will accrue a storage fee of $5 per day.
  4. Layaways require 1/3rd deposit and must be paid in full within 90 days. Layaway items not paid in full and not picked up within 90 days will be removed from layaway. Expired layaway payments will be converted to store credit minus a re-stocking fee of 25% of the layaway item price.
  5. Repairs are warrantied for thirty days from completion of repair unless otherwise specified. Customer must provide claim ticket or photo ID and full payment to claim any item left for repair. Items left for repair not paid and claimed within thirty days will accrue a storage fee of $5 per day. These items will be considered abandoned and forfeit after 60 days and will be sold.
  6. Customers are responsible for leaving accurate contact information. Mountain Music is not responsible for disconnected phone numbers, voicemail that will not accept messages, un-retrieved or un-returned messages, or invalid email addresses.
  7. Rental customers are responsible for all repair costs of damaged rental instruments and replacement costs of lost, stolen, or destroyed (as determined by Mountain Music) rental instruments. Rental instruments remain the sole property of Mountain Music until the instrument has been paid for in full.
  8. Lesson customers and rental customers are responsible for notifying Mountain Music of any cancelations.
