THIS IS THE TUBE SCREAMER — the legendary green pedal that became one of the most influential overdrive designs in guitar history! Often imitated but never duplicated, the Ibanez TS808 has very well spawned more offshoots, variations, and inspired designs than virtually any other pedal on the market. This Made in Japan TS808 Overdrive Pro faithfully captures the character that made the original so famous, using the same JRC4558D IC chip and analog circuitry associated with the classic Tube Screamer design. With traditional Overdrive, Tone, and Level controls, it delivers that unmistakable smooth, warm, mid-focused overdrive that can transform a clean amp, add sustain and punch to a crunchy rig, or push an already-cooking tube amp into singing territory.

The magic of the Tube Screamer has never been about massive amounts of distortion. It's about the way it shapes and focuses a guitar signal — tightening the low end, emphasizing the mids, adding smooth compression and harmonic richness, and helping an amplifier respond with more sustain, definition, and feel. That's why the Tube Screamer has remained a staple on pedalboards for decades, from blues and classic rock to hard rock, metal, and modern guitar. Stevie Ray Vaughan became perhaps the most famous player associated with the Tube Screamer sound, while legendary guitarists including Eric Johnson, Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa, John Mayer, Buddy Guy, Rory Gallagher, and countless others have embraced the Tube Screamer family and its unmistakable approach to overdrive. Ibanez's own description of the TS808 points to its warm overdrive and the countless modeling and boutique pedals that have copied its smooth, full tone.

This particular example is Made in Japan and features the traditional TS808 format, including the classic three-control layout and 3.5mm jack. It's a great way to get the legendary TS808 character without chasing down the often-expensive vintage originals. Whether you're looking for a dependable studio or stage overdrive, a pedal to push your favorite tube amp, or simply one of the essential sounds that helped define modern electric guitar, the TS808 belongs in the conversation. Genuine MIJ examples don't sit around forever, so if you've been looking for that unmistakable Tube Screamer sound, take a close look and grab this one while it's available!
