This Solo Music Gear JBK-1 j-style bass kit was hand-finished with genuine nitrocellulose lacquer and hand assembled in the USA in 2019. The kit was made in Canada by Solo Music Gear. The electronics have been upgraded from what was included in the kit- CTS pots and Switchcraft jack. Upgraded Fender vintage-style bridge with threaded saddles for adjustable string spacing. The pickguard is 4-ply mint/black/mint/tortoise from The Pickguardian. Currently strung with Fender tapewound strings. Handmade bone nut. Dunlop dual-design strap locks included. Satin clear nitro on the back of the neck, gloss clear nitro on the headstock face. 

There are some areas of wear and damage to the thin nitro finish, especially around the edges of the body from where it was wet-sanded and polished. There is an area between the bridge plate and the bridge pickup where the color coat was damaged during the wet sanding and polishing process- see photos. a few dings and dents on the body. Overall the bass plays very well and is very good shape, with all flaws and damage being cosmetic in nature.
