This is a vintage Ludwig marching snare head. It is a 14" head clear head with a silver dot from Ludwig's Striders series. The seamless aluminum "Hi-Torque" stabilizing ring on the playing edge allows the drum to respond with a crisp and powerful sound. Also having the ring pull so tightly on the head prevents damage to your marching snare's bearing edge. The box has been opened and shows signs of shop wear, but the head has never been used or seated on a drum.
